"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men."
Colossians 3:23
Today I was thinking about how I do things half-heartedly so often. I go into things excited, but to be honest, most of the time I do not put my all into what I am doing. At this moment, I feel that the things I am committed to I do faithfully but do I do them whole heartedly? Why do something unless you are going to do your best at it? As I go along in life and don't put my all into what I am doing, I will not get the best results possible. If the Lord has placed you somewhere, whether it be a sport, a club, a job, or a school, He has placed you there for a reason. Being content with just showing up and giving medium effort is not okay! Don't waste the time you have somewhere, because before you know it, your time will be up and you will be moving on to something else. Don't leave "could haves" or "should haves". Leave no room for regrets. The more the effort, the more of a result. I believe that the harder you work at something, the stronger and more developed it makes you. God is so smart, man! He knew this and so he told us to work at the things we do heartily. Examine the areas of your life. Where have you been placed? Are you doing the best you can at all you do? I want to leave a legacy behind where people say, "Man, that girl Samantha, when she did something she did her best and when she set her mind on something, there was no stopping her." So stop sitting still where you are, go hard!
